I am not a patriot. I deny being an entity of a particular country only because I was born there - that too without my consent!

We are not what we think, but we are what the government wants us to be. We are programmed and perfectly conditioned so that we stop thinking, doubting and rebelling. And this mental conditioning starts from day 1 at our school.
The national anthem is forced into our minds, without even letting us know the real meaning of it. We are asked to intone illogical prayers, which reads, “India is my country, and all Indians are my brothers and sisters.” So whom should we marry when grown up?
We are asked to be obedient and listen to all that crappy and violent nursery rhymes, none of which were framed by locales. To be honest till date I have never met a guy whose name is Jack and a girl whose name is Jill, nor found someone who has curly hair, very fair, whose eyes are BLUE lovely too!
As we grow up we are taken into the wonderful world of history, which is highly debatable in any period of time. Gandhi’s Experiments with Truth is available for Rs 12 in any khadi store, but at the same time a book written by Nathuram Ghodse justifying the killing is banned in India! So when do we see the other side of the coin?
Only because few sick minded politicians thought of separating a piece of land by barbwires on religious differences, we start hating the complete genre for generations? Yesteryear brother becomes a neighborhood foe and a patriot who fought against the British for freedom becomes a terrorist - post 1947!
PS - The scribe believes in one human, one world philosophy and sincerely feels that all the geographical boundaries should be broken, for they all are man made which inflicts animalistic possessiveness for land a.k.a. patriotism!
