The people behind Askenni.coms resurrection!

Askenni was MY original idea. I conceptualized it, I designed it, and even the cool looking photograph was taken by ME. Wish I could say that with authority! But no, they arent true. There were loads of people who helped me immensely to make it what it is today. Few helped me directly & few indirectly. And this particular blog is dedicated to all those bloggers & non-bloggers who helped me to set my blog site right & make it look a bit professional.

Kamesh (Germany) the software personnel

A week back I got a mail from one of my readers saying that my comment box wasnt working & there is some bug on my site. I mailed back saying, I have blocked my comment feature deliberately because people have started selling Viagras, sex toys & condoms through my site. They were all spam mails from porn sites. Kamesh said, the latest Movable Type Publishing system has a spam blocker, and you can very well install that. I said, I am not technically literate, if you could help me then nothing like it. He agreed at once, and he took few hours to install the latest software, and gave my blogsite the new enhanced look. Majority of credit goes to him for converting Lalita Pawar to Aiswarya Rai. Thanks Kamesh!

Bala the artist

I met him in Sify, and he is one of the best artists & designers I have ever met in my life. His desk was always filled with interesting art works he did using colour pencil, water colour, & crayons. Sometimes he just used a drop of ink to bring life onto canvas. I sent him a mail asking if he could help me with the top image. He readily agreed & within an hour he sent me 3 options! We have put the best on the top!

Centre Shock Ravi the photographer

I was jealous about him not for his looks of course, but for the gadgets he carried with him. He always had the latest mobile phone, the latest camera & the latest handy cam! Moreover he is an excellent photographer. I asked him if he could take some pictures of mine. We had a photo session on our office terrace and the outcome was the picture that I use in most of the sites me looking benignly at the sky!

My Sister Basanthi

She always kept saying that your content is ok, but the design sucks. Do something which interests people, and make them spend more time on your blog. I agreed - a bit late though. She was the one who guided me about what section should come where on the site. Believe me she is a marketing person, who has a tremendous aesthetic sense.

Manoj Ass err as Manoj

He was the project manager for Sify Blogs. And one of his works was to get people to use the blog interfaces. He walked across my desk once, and said, Kennedi, why dont you blog? In fact you can blog about astrology. That was when it all started. From http://blogs.sify.com/thambig TO http://thambig.rediffblogs.com TO http://www.askenni.com!

Muthuonline & Kingsley

I am still a bit irritated by these two guys. They helped me taking off, but switched off the propeller midway! It was like the alliance party pulling their support from the government & making it fall before the completion of tenure. But I surely need to thank them for they were the people who helped me registering my domain name, and also the ones who introduced me to the publishing system called Movable Type. God bless them.

Ben - the host

Ben is an American working for vesana.com on whose server my site is hosted. He was the one who put his effort to put my database right, and also the one who moved my files from the old space to the new space.

Chota Rajan bada blogger

I loved the way he used to get excited about writing a blog, and the way he used to visit each persons desk asking them to read his blogs and leave a comment. May be he got the idea from the Naidu Hall guys, who used women to market their products. Brassieres werent common those days hence these women would go knocking each door and convince women to buy one. Today Naidu Hall is the largest seller of inner garment in Chennai, and Rajan is one of the popular bloggers!

Kiruba serious blogger

If there is something I need to admire & thank Kiruba Shankar for it would be his energy, his sincerity, devotion & also regularity in updating his blogs. You are awesome buddy!

Suraj Varma the navab

The more I argue with him, the more I get ideas for my next blog. He is one devils advisor, and also a good friend of mine. We wouldnt agree on anything, and that honestly prompts me to write more!

And last but not the least I need to thank all my visitors & readers, who indeed happen to be the biggest motivating factor, which keeps me walking!
