There are good doctors, and there are bad doctors. There are good cricketers, and there are bad cricketers. There are good mothers, and there are bad mothers. There are good men, and there are bad men. There are good computer programmers, and there are bad computer programmers. There are bad politicians, and there are worse politicians. There are corrupt bureaucrats, and there are more corrupt bureaucrats. There are nice girls, and there are the slutty ones. There are good leaders, and there are bad leaders. And yes, there are good astrologers and there are bad astrologers. I have encountered them all.
A couple of days back Facebook pushed a video where one Senior Vedic Astrologer was being brutally roasted in a debate show on Television by some idiotic rationalist. I have had great respect and deep reverence for this particular astrologer, who has been in the industry for more than 4 decades or so. He is good, and I have had clients who have raved about his predictive capabilities many a times.
In India, I have noticed something strange with people while they actually debate. They leave the topic aside, become emotional, and get into throwing personal abuses. And that is exactly what the mother-fucking rationalist, who was much younger than the astrologer, was doing. He used words that merely meant – fraudulent, deceptive, treacherous, and cheat.
And the second strange thing in an Indian debate show is, the TV channel and the compere or the presenter have already made up their minds about which side to take, and by default they would prefer to take the sides of the rationalist when it comes to esoteric sciences.
It is by rule that the media – newspapers, magazines, radios, and TV channels – are hellbent upon disproving esoteric sciences but on the other hand they will not miss to have a section that is totally dedicated to astrology. The early morning slots on TV channels are open for astrologers to yap till their prime times starts, in newspapers – you got those Sun Sign predictions for sure, magazines carry them too to keep their readers happy, and rest of the times they want people ‘NOT’ to believe in astrology.
The perfect way to explain this hypocritical behaviour of any media is by giving an example – the media doesn’t mind running their own brothel, but would preach men to practice celibacy.
If the TV channels and the presenter have already decided to call an astrologer fake, why invite him at all? Why do you call them on the shows, when you know for sure that they are cheating people? And if you really are concerned about the innocent and gullible people they extract money from, gather their client base and file a police complaint and put the astrologer behind bars. Why fucking sell your soul to get mere TRPs? Call a brain surgeon instead or a scientist who is an expert in nuclear science and debate with them – I am sure none of the dumb-fucks will have any questions for them.
It indeed is easy to win a debate as a non-believer or an atheist. Make me sit against an astrologer or a religious person, and I can win any debate disproving astrology and also the existence of God. You don’t need much brainpower to do that. I am sure even my 5-year-old son will win asking for scientific proof for astrology and existence of God. On the other hand, you fucking need balls of steel to sit on the opposite side because now your job is to prove something or make people believe something, that has no rational behind it but that which still works with utmost precision!
Science would argue that man falls for a woman because of hormonal changes. True that. A man comes across 1000s of women in his life, so what is the reason that he falls for one particular woman? Ideally hormones should have started to work the moment he spotted the first woman, and he should have fallen for her. That never happens :). Not everything can be proven scientifically, and yet you need to believe in them. That is the beauty of human life.
PS: Well, whenever I am called for these halfwitted TV debate shows – I refuse to go because with age I have realised that you neither can persuade a retard to believe in astrology nor stop a believer from consulting an astrologer. Then, why make an ‘asshole’ of yourself on a fucking TV show, which predominantly targets idiots.
