PART 1
I had posted the following on social media…
“It is quite strange that when I say God exists, a Christian atheist says Jesus does not exist, a Muslim atheist says Allah does not exist, a Hindu atheist says Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and rest of the 33 crore Hindu deities don’t exist. Ye kya majaak hai? (What kind of joke is that?)”
And someone responded with this reply…
“There’s no such thing as a Christian, Muslim, or Hindu atheist. It’s subconscious. It’s a culturally pre-wired response to the statement “god exists”. If you grew up in a Christian environment, you will automatically assume the person is talking about the Christian god or Jesus (a few Christians believe Jesus was not god). If you were raised Muslim, or in a Muslim country, you will assume they’re talking about Allah. It takes a conscious effort to respond with “no god exists”. The mechanisms behind pre-wired responses are well understood in neuroscience at this point.”
And I replied to him saying, ‘that is exactly what I implied.” His response indeed opened up a plethora of insights for me, and hence the blog….
In the last 200 years or so, not a single Indian Vedic Astrologer has been world famous (famous here means – not being acknowledged by the Westerners because if you are not accepted or acknowledged by the Westerners, you can never be world famous – that has always been the order of the world, till date at least), and there is a reason why.
Of course William John Warner, an Irish astrologer popularly known as Cheiro – a palmist/numerologist, who learnt astrology from India was famous and was accepted by the West – but then he was more into character analysis than predicting human lives. He learnt Indian astrology from many experts in India and Bangalore Venkata Raman’s (B V Raman’s) father was one of his teachers.
A meagre number of Westerners who thought or felt that planets could have a possible impact on human beings and their behaviours discovered Western Astrology (which is completely different from Vedic Astrology) – and again their astrology predominantly talks about character analysis – like Aries are bold, Leos are brave, Pisces are loving and so on and so forth…Western Astrology never evolved into predictive astrology. And for people who possessed predictive abilities they either labelled them clairvoyant or psychics, which they very well can term fake by applying scientific methods.
It is famously quoted that when Indian and Chinese civilization were at its peak, the Western men were still living in the caves. Civilization led to culture, and human beings are subconsciously driven by their own culture, whichever country they belong to, than anything else. Vedic Astrology is more of a culture in India than a science. To be continued…..
PART 2
“Logically, being an atheist is easy; the concept of God was not designed for everyone to understand, but rather for a select few capable of comprehending beyond the average person.”
This was actually posted before the one that I started the Part 1 blog with. And the Westerners got into an argument with me, and one among them was a fucking Russian scientist – holy fuck! They all predominantly remarked – how hell and heaven are not possible, how scientifically it is impossible to walk on water, how the Bible was to create fears in the minds of people. I was like, ‘who the fuck is even referring to Jesus Christ or Bible or Christianity’? Even I know Jesus was not God, even I know the Bible is flawed, and that there is no connection between Christ and Christianity that was formulated few centuries ago after Jesus Christ died. They could not fathom which ‘God’ was I referring to then, and they all went blank? They could not prove their atheism to me if I was a non-believer of Jesus Christ myself. Holy mother fucking shit! And that was an ‘eureka’ moment for me.
So when you talk about the existence of God, a Christian thinks you are referring to Jesus Christ, and a Muslim thinks you are referring to Allah, and a Hindu thinks you are referring to Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma and the rest of the 33 crore deities. What kind of nonsense is that? For me God is that entity who created Jesus Christ, the entity that created Prophet Muhammed, and the entity that created the universe and put humans in it.
A wise man once said, if you need to understand the level of ‘consciousness’ a particular human being exists in – allow him to talk for 5 minutes, and you shall find out. And I am damn sure that no Westerner will ever understand what ‘consciousness’ means in the first place – they would want to refer to the concept of consciousness using their own understanding about IQ or intelligence or knowledge or money or education or information they gathered in their lifetime.
‘Consciousness’ is beyond the average person’s comprehension, and to understand God without following any rigid religious path ain’t for sissies. Period. God revealed the truth, and still does, to people who exist in higher levels of consciousness, and religions were framed for the lower souls – just to get a glimpse of whole – ‘divinity.’
PART 3
Hinduism was already a well established religion since 1000s of years, when the West got their first God 2000 years back. They themselves aren’t sure which God they bowed down to before St Peters went on a marketing spree. Some say they prayed to the Pagans before Jesus Christ, if that were true the native Christians themselves are converted Christians, and they forced that conversion formula on majority of the world’s population – to the extent where the locals have forgotten their roots completely.
I spoke to a Columbian (In Columbia, based on various studies and a survey, about 90% of the population adheres to Christianity, the majority of which (70.9%) are Roman Catholic, while a significant minority (16.7%) adhere to Protestantism (primarily Evangelicalism).), about what were they before they were converted to Christianity, and he said, “we had our own religion, that none talks about. And whoever talked about it are all dead,” “Then why did you guys convert to Christianity?” I asked. “The Whites kept a gun on our temple. Simple,” he replied and we had a hearty laugh.
Historically the Westerners have done the maximum damage to Humanity – in terms of religious conversion and also in terms of wars, but today they blame it on the Muslims quite smartly. We Indians study our history as Muslims ruled over India for almost 300 years, but when it comes to British rule – we don’t say Christians ruled over India for close to 100 years. The facts which I noted from the internet are stated below –
- “the Mughal dynasty (1526–1858) was among the richest and longest ruling in India, and at its peak controlled large portions of the Indian subcontinent. The Mughals were Muslims of Central Asian origin, and Persian was their court language.”
- “In 40 years, between 1880 and 1920, British colonialism killed 100 million Indians and, according to research by economic historian, Robert Allen, extreme poverty in India increased under British rule, from 23% in 1810 to more than 50% in the mid-20th century.”
It is a sad truth that even today, Indians have not stopped to suck up to the Westerners.
PART 4
Christianity by far has been the most rigid and stringent religion compared to any other religions on the planet and the Westerners have blatantly denied that fact and instead succeeded in establishing Islam as the most inflexible. Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism – they never converted anyone in the world at gun point, but Christians did that to 3/4th of the World population. No World Wars were ever started by Muslims or Hindus or Buddhists, but Christians successfully accomplished two major world wars, killed and maimed millions of human beings, and still succeeded in calling Muslims as terrorists.
Not only was Christianity hard on others, but it also was for the believers. Hence the Christians who had the intellect to think beyond the Bible had to fight very hard to free themselves from the shackles of the church. They had to rebel against a forced norm to even express what they felt was right, and hence you will find the most number of atheists belonging to the Western countries than East today.
Galileo, an Italian astronomer, physicist, and engineer, sometimes described as a polymath was sentenced to life imprisonment. Galileo was found “vehemently suspect of heresy,” meaning – having held the opinion that the Sun lies motionless at the centre of the universe, that the Earth is not at its centre and moves, and that one may hold and defend an opinion as probable after it has been declared contrary to Holy Scripture.
Rebellion, and atheism in the Western world led to two important outcomes – the hippies and the scientists. Atheism of course led to a mammoth movement of rational thinking amongst the Westerners which in turn led to an immense number of scientific inventions and discoveries, which other countries failed miserably to achieve. But the bad news was, every scientist had to walk away from their own religion and belief system to become a scientist because most inventions could be against their own scriptures.
India has its own contribution towards many subjects (which the Westerners would refuse to call as ‘pure science’ in their understanding of the subject – ‘YOGA’ didn’t emerge from a Western scientist’s laboratory), one among them is science of course, that has helped and continues to help humanity to a very large extent. But then we never had to walk away from our religion, belief system, scriptures or the concept of God. And moreover there was no fear of being killed, or getting poisoned, or hanged or imprisoned for thinking against or beyond the scriptures.
