Why I Never Relied on Social Media to Get Clients

Depending on the keywords you use, social media algorithms decide who sees your content. That single factor determines how viral your post goes, how many followers you gain, or how fast your subscriber count grows. In short, it’s not always about the quality of your content — it’s about how the system categorizes and pushes it.

That’s exactly why I’ve never depended on social media to bring me clients. Since 2004, I’ve maintained my own independent platform — www.askenni.com. It has been my digital home long before algorithms started deciding what people should see and what they shouldn’t. And to this day, most of my business still comes from there.

There’s another reason behind this choice — one that’s more subtle but equally important. I personally feel that most foreign algorithms view Vedic Astrology through a skeptical lens, often branding it as a pseudo-science. You can see the effect of this bias online: content that mocks or dismisses Vedic Astrology tends to get more visibility, while genuine, knowledge-based content struggles to reach a wider audience.

For me, astrology has always been about human insight, cosmic rhythm, and spiritual understanding — not trends, hashtags, or clickbait. That’s why I prefer my own space, where sincerity isn’t filtered by algorithms, and wisdom still finds its way to those who genuinely seek it.
