Why Modern Marriages in India Aren’t Working Anymore

Let us keep destiny aside for a while and examine, from a psychological perspective, why modern marriages are failing in India.

One of the vital factors that has changed in the last 70 years is women’s access to education and their ability to be as employable as men, as well as being in a position to earn as much as or more than men. This gives many feminists the feeling that husbands cannot handle strong, independent women anymore and that marriage therefore leads to divorce.

Men aren’t looking for more than respect and sex in a marital relationship, whether women are educated or not, or whether they make money or not. If a man gets respect, free sex, and, on top of that, money, he should be extra happy with the woman. But instead, he lets go of her, in spite of the money and free sex.

Then a woman’s idea of her newfound strength isn’t the real reason for marriage failure, because men don’t even consider women to be in the same league. Men compete with men, not women. Had men competed with women, they would never have kept sports separate for men and women. One boxing match in a ring, and women would know who is stronger.

So here is the real reason modern women cannot think about.

Divorces happen because of weak parents. A daughter is loved — good. She is given freedom — good. But if she is not told about natural male aggression, she will start to think that her husband is a younger version of her father, who will accept all the nonsense her father did.

Wrong.

Strong men don’t tolerate nonsense. Strong men, if they really love you, will control you, will tell you what to wear and what not to, whom to meet and whom not to, and where to go and where not to.

Well, that obviously brings hell down, and the marriage breaks.
